My main scouting activity is actually being a scout. I’m in the 2nd oldest section in the movement; Explorer scouts. The Unit I am part of was created in January 2009 from the group of scouts at which I was present. I have been at the explorers unit since the beginning and am now one of the most active members. I help with the programme planning, I’m a patrol leader and I represent the Unit in the District forum.
Over the course of the Unit’s history we have covered a lot of different activities, a few from memory are;

- Duke of Edinburgh Award
- Climbing
- Bouldering
- Cycling
- Hiking
- Kayaking
- Raft Building
- Geocaching
It’s safe to say that I love being an explorer!
